Bridal/Wedding booking Information:

Thank you for your interest in having Jameelah Scott Makeup Artistry provide services for your bride and bridal party. Below is some information on the procedure my brides follow to ensure that your makeup is exactly how you want it on your wedding day and our working relationship is a smooth one.

1.) Every bride must do a trial makeover. During this makeover, we will try colors, you will bring me looks from magazines, online, etc that you like. I go over your wedding colors, etc. This trial lets me know what you like and what you don't like. There is a cost because you will be getting a makeover on that day. The cost starts at $75.00. The goal is to conduct a trial makeover at least 2 months before your wedding, when this is not possible please schedule as soon as possible.

2.) When you're ready to book for your wedding, wedding day makeup starts at $95 for the bride. This fee includes waterproof makeup and complimentary lip color, oil absorbent sheets, etc to use for touch up on the day of the wedding. If other members of your wedding party would like makeup, the cost starts at $75. I'm giving estimates because the cost could go up for both the bridal and wedding party makeup depending on the condition of the skin.

3.) There is an makeup application agreement and photo release that must be signed by everyone getting makeup services. The bride is financially responsible for herself and all who will receive services for her special day. The bride will have to communicate with the rest of her party to get reimbursed by them or arrange to get funds from them up front. Jameelah Scott Makeup Artistry will only receive payment from the bride. Payment of half of the amount of the services being rendered is due at the time of the bridal contract signing to guarantee your wedding date is held. The remaining balance would be paid 2 weeks before the wedding day. If you want Jameelah to stay throughout the wedding and/or reception for touch ups, the cost is $55 per hour.

4.) The trial makeover and/or wedding day services can be provided at Jameelah Makeup Artistry’s studio in Petersburg, VA or at a location of your choosing, however, if you choose to have us come to you, a travel fee is included and calculated by the current US mileage reimbursement rate (currently $0.58 per mile). The mileage is calculated using Map Quest Directions to and from the makeup studio address of 27 1/2 Bolling Brook St. Petersburg, VA 23803 and the location address provided.
